Art For Africa

'Every Tear' - watercolor

In 1998 Mandy and her husband, Stuart were given the gift of living and raising their family in the USA. They will never forget the pain of the African people and can hear the cry over the ocean for help. It is estimated that Africa has 40 million orphans. Each one has a face and a dream.

Most of these children are left destitute because AIDs or war has devastated their families.

We have joined the growing number of artists who are helping the most needy people groups by using their work as a vehicle to help finance ministries to orphans. The growing trend is not only among artists but all types of businesses who use a percentage of their profits as a vehicle to change the world, this is a way for American businesses to come together and make an impact in the lives of forgotten people. Pass it on……

The ministry we would like to highlight is an organization that is part of the Kampala Children’s Centre in Uganda: Communities of Hope.

The Kampala Children’s Centre in Uganda began when one man, Pastor Arnold Muwonge had a dream to rescue destitute children. He adopted 13 children and when he personally could take no more into his own home he partnered with other ministries to establish the Kampala Children’s Centre. Growth has been tremendous and since 2006 over 100 children have been rescued and given a new life. Theses children are receiving so much love, ministry and hope that they are beginning to experience real transformation and are a testimony to their community and world.

Communities of Hope is part of Kampala Children’s Centre, it was created to continue the vision of KCC to the surrounding communities. COH helps and funds children in very poor familes. Many of these children are living with guardians as a result of their own parents being victim to AIDS.

Communities of Hope strives to give each of these children hope, an education, ministry, food and vitamins.
